in Network and Sharing Odd. laptop-pc in the next box i typed in laptop-pc and the password for this computer I still get the credentials used are incorrect? tough to think when angry.. HoboFist I changed the username to myself but the username in C:Users has the name of this computer seller... navigate here

but after I do I get the dreaded "Your credentials didn't work" page. There should be one labeled "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" - make sure it is checked. See when the computer was built the original Admin account was created under my name for quickness...then the account was later changed to HoboFist thru the control panel.

The solution was on the Windows XP machine I had to goto the Windows Firewall -> Advanced tab and for each network type I wanted to allow remote connection, click on but if I type computer name on remote desktop connection it won't work! The RDP from XP would open fine and did not have that initial login prompt.
Updating the vid drivers worked like a charm on the dell 755 w/ati card!
