Well no kidding, but I got a new set and neither worked in SLI. The monitor issues can be related to the PC power problems where the monitor isnt getting the power it needs, or of course, the graphics card is bad. About the ATI Mobility 3870 in the m9750, I learned it from this link : ATI Mobility m9750. Long story short, with the extracted w8350f04.rom file I was able to successfully reflash my BIOS thanks to AMI's failsafe recovery method in their chip (which really is a Godsend).
