SP2 should only be installed on completely clean systems (spyware, virus, trojan, "hicup" free!). check over here
Remnants of Service Pack 2 may still cause some problems, warning and error messages in the system event log, but these should go away once you have successfully reinstalled Service Pack
With one text styleI did fix the issue by just changing fonts in the text style...not exactly the same as renaming the same font file. Each time I rebooted and retried, another key would fail the installation. Some examples are Memory Meter or Speed Blaster from Total Velocity, also known as T.V. Your method worked a treat.
