Then go find the things you just downloaded. And yes, I know about recovery disks. Before it wanted my to sign on as admin in order to update. Reboot your computer when it's in the boot up stage just keep hitting the F8 Key.
It will let you view & disable shell extensions. I am tempted to wipe off the vista and reload the xp, but I kind of wanted to keep one with vista to see if I liked it. i've checked the Event view and nothing. it is running a lot better now that it did the updates ...
