Even when i go on to http://www.hotmail.com i sign in on there and it says the page cannot be displayed. icant sign into hotmail either. Have a look at a AntiVirus product called "Kaspersky". MSN still thinks the Key Ports are blocked, even with the MS firewall turned off.

Your firewall may be blocking Messenger from connecting to the server. Thanks a bunch and good luck to everyone else who is still strugling. and all my other internet connection. If not, it looks like Norton is blocking it.
my problem is with my zone lab security thing, its blocking msn from connecting and when i do trouble shoot the key port has an error.
