The thing that worked was turning off all firewalls and virus software. It may not do the trick but it's a good place to start. But the problem is that the XP cannot access the net. The Windows 7 machine shows the printer (HPC5380) as default, but wont print. What I did, instead, was add the check mark (in the printer settings) to "List printer in directory" on the host machine. I do see other networks, but this unsecure un-named one dissappears if I turn off the wireless operation of my router. Is it working now?
